DESCRIPTION: Widespread elevated to near critical fire danger is anticipated Saturday afternoon across the region. Afternoon relative humidities dipping into the 15-25% range combined with very dry fuels are the main concerns. While winds are not anticipated to exceed 10-15 mph, the very dry conditions and fuels will make it possible for wildfires to ignite and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. If a wildfire is observed, report it by dialing 911 or by contacting the Arkansas Department of Agriculture at (800) 468-8834.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
