AREAS AFFECTED: Washington; Scott; Floyd; Clark; Jefferson; Oldham; Shelby; Spencer; Anderson; Woodford; Mercer; Jessamine; Boyle; Garrard; Madison; Lincoln
DESCRIPTION: A period of snow, mixed with some sleet and rain will move across portions for southern Indiana and central Kentucky this morning and into the afternoon hours. A dusting to perhaps a half of an inch of slushy snow accumulation is possible across this area. It remains possible that a brief glaze of ice cannot be ruled out as some surfaces may still be below 32 degrees when precipitation arrives. Isolated to scattered slick spots will be possible on area roadways. Travelers are advised to exercise caution and allow extra time to reach their destinations this morning and early this afternoon.

Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
