North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...North Skunk River near Sigourney. * WHEN...From this morning to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land, some county roads, and farm houses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 6.8 feet Sunday, August 10. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The next statement will be issued by late tonight at 400 AM CDT.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
