DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Topeka KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas... Pottawatomie Creek near Garnett affecting Anderson County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pottawatomie Creek near Garnett. * WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Flood waters overflow the north bank and flood cultivated fields north of the creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:16 PM CST Saturday the stage was 23.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.

Cirrostratus clouds are high, thin clouds that form above
20,000 feet and are made mostly of ice crystals. They sometimes look like giant
